One could say

One could say that I am extremely frustrated about now, and yeah people, I am. But when we get amazing starting pitching, we can’t get a run to save our lives. When we score runs like crazy, then the defense is not showing up. Take your pick, its been happening. The fact that we are only 6 out is a miracle.

We have the Nationals, Astros and Marlins next, so this should be allright, seeming how the Mets have a tougher schedule coming up, must love the west coast road trip.

I apologize for still not having the pictures from the Braves/Phils games on May 3rd-4th up yet. It will happen soon. Been very busy.

Baseball is the greatest sport I know. But to me, on a par, is football (soccer to most of you). The greatest show on Earth (The World Cup) starts on Friday.
It is still bigger than the olympics.

I will be starting a totally new, non-baseball, blog for the duration of the competition.

Please, one and all, come and join in the fun. Even if you know feck all, or even dislike the sport.

It will be a fun 4 weeks folk..

The best part of MLBlogs is that whether you are a player, fan or journalist it gives you a place to share your thoughts and opinions on not only baseball but just about anything you want to share. The number of people and the places they come from is amazing to see each day! I recently had visitors to my MlBlog from Puerto Rico, the Netherlands, England, Taiwan and several other countries as well as almost all of the 50 states.

Oh believe me, I understand the frustration. 14 years straight on top of the division, and now in solid last place. We have great players, but they’re just not pulling it together. Still, got to keep our heads up.

Let’s see, yes it is frustrating. But you know what? I was there every summer during the 70s and 80s, getting elated with every three game winning streak, and then turning my attention to football in August.

In 1982, I was ready to do the same, when Pasqual “285” Perez made his tour of the beltway the thing that broke the slump that led to the playoffs. In 1993, McGriff arrives to the inferno of the pressbox, which was the spark needed to get the playoff run heated up. Maybe last night, when we lost the bedrock leader of the team and had to depend on the worse bullpen in the league to win, a new run was started, with a new leader for the future, who did what he had to do to carry the team – Jeff Franceur!

14 straight that is quite an accomplishment. look at the players we have had in the past. Now look at the players we have now. Can you tell me who the only player to be there through it all is. John Smoltz. the soon to be hall of famer. and i hear rumors about trading him. while we are at it why don’t we fire bobby cox. we can make some moves to win this year and john schurholtz is the best GM in the league.we will win the division this year!!!!!!!!

**** TYLER YATES. He is a piece of ****. Git him off the team. Oh yeah, if Mccay Mcbride reads this. You hyave not been worth a **** recently either. I like you. I think you could be good, but not if you play like this. T YATES…please dont agree to come into the **** game if you are going to walk three battters and load the bases in the 7th after Chuck James pitched a **** of a game! Just tell the **** bullpen coach that you dont want to play. I would rather hear you say that **** then you lose a game because you cant pitch a **** strike!
